Terms of Service

Last updated: June 9, 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Referee.Observer (“the service”) at referee.observer, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Description of service

Referee.Observer is a platform for football match officials and refereeing bodies. It provides appointment tracking, performance analytics, training tools, wearable and fitness monitoring, an AI coach, and an official portal for registered referees and federations.

Access to the official portal requires an invitation or admin approval. Public statistics are available without registration.

3. Account registration and eligibility

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
  • Accounts are personal and may not be shared or transferred.
  • Minor referees (under 18) may register and use the service only with verifiable parental or guardian consent and where permitted by their federation.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Federation customers

Where a federation or refereeing body uses the service to manage its officials, the federation is the data controller for the referee data it manages and we act as a data processor. The relationship is governed by our Data Processing Agreement. Federations are responsible for ensuring they have a lawful basis to upload and process referee data through the platform.

5. Wearable, health, and AI features

  • Connecting Garmin, Polar, or Strava is optional and requires your explicit consent. You authorise us to import activity, heart-rate, HRV, sleep, and recovery data as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • The AI coach uses third-party providers (DeepSeek, Google Gemini) to generate guidance. Output is informational only and is not medical advice.
  • You may disconnect wearables or decline AI features at any time.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service.
  • Scrape, copy, or redistribute data from the service without permission.
  • Upload malicious code or interfere with the service's operation.
  • Impersonate another person or referee.

7. Intellectual property

All content, data, design, and code on Referee.Observer is owned by or licensed to OK Factory. Referee and match-official data published on the platform — including names, appointments, crews, and statistics — is compiled from publicly available sources (such as official federation announcements, competition records, and published match reports). You may not reproduce or distribute this content without prior written consent.

8. Privacy

Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy and, for federation customers, our Data Processing Agreement, both incorporated into these terms by reference.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that statistics and appointment data will always be accurate, or that AI- or wearable-derived insights are suitable for any particular purpose.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OK Factory shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including reliance on AI coaching guidance or wearable-derived metrics.

11. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify registered users of material changes by email.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Italy, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Italy, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence.

13. Contact
